How to get the best out of your Spain rental car
Accommodation for all budgets at all major holiday locations
within Spain
This is the home of the great Aragorn
kingdom, which once ruled the Mediterranean. These days
it provides holiday makers with a great venue. The region
of Aragorn is marked by contrasts and magnificent countryside,
it is rich in folklore and is home to the highest peaks on
the Iberian peninsula. Zaragoza, therefore is a great
starting point from which to reach Spain’s best ski resorts.
Once you've got the car, you can travel north
to the Ordesa and Monte Perdido (Lost Mountain) national
park, and when they say "natural wonders",they mean it!
You can go there via Huesca, a 1st century BC town, which
was capital of Aragorn until 1118.
This pleasant old town and provincial capital
has a gothic Cathedral, with some Mudejar features, and many
other wonderful old buildings.
The Ordesa and Monte Perdido park contains
some stunning Spanish Pyrenees scenery. There are four
glacial canyons which give the area spectacular cliffs
and chasms. In winter the sky resorts are buzzing, and in
the summer there is an abundance of hiking routes to explore.
You can pick up a vehicle, for the
some great driving trips around the Pyrenees at our
locations listed above. If you are new driver in Spain,
please refer to our"Driving
Regulations" page. If you are intending to tour round
the Zaragoza area, then probably our "Places
to Stay" pages, and perhaps, a look at our
"Places to See" page, would be helpful.
