How to find a rental car in the Balearics
Menorca is probably the least
known of the Balearic islands, it is a haven for the
weary, the elderly, and the quiet holiday maker.
An English, or other foreign, driver's
licence works, and driving on the left is easily
mastered.
Be careful where you park, and
be considerate in driving. There is no tolerance for regulation
breakers. Drivers new to Spain should take a glance at our
page on "Driving
Regulations in Spain".
Finding a hire outlet
We have three car outlets on Menorca,
and many more in the rest of the islands. Simply consult
the list, and check
your confirmation email, it will have the address of the car
outlet nearest your accommodation, or if not, where you have
indicated you want the car to be.
In general they require deposits to
be left, credit card evidence of the identity of the driver
and the hirer, and some require fuel to be bought and paid
for from the location, before the car is handed over. The
car is then returned empty, or near empty. |
